Indo Mike

Born in California but raised in Jacksonville, TX since age 6 music Indo Mike loved music. Growing up in Lincoln Park the environment where there was plenty of trouble to get into Indo Mike did just that but his mom stayed on him constantly about making poor choices. His parents were very strict and old fashioned and only listened to blues and soul music no rap music was allowed and being 1 of 8 kids [3 brothers, 4 sisters] wasn't easy either. But music was Indo Mike only way to escape from the hood mentally. So around age 16 Indo Mike started expressing himself through rap. He obtain the name Indo Mike because his bestfriend & rap partner Ken noticed that he always stayed indoors. So Ken took the word indoor and and removed the "OR' to give it more swag and of course Mike is his real first name and history was created. Indo Mike participated in freestyle contest around East Texas often placing within the top 3 if not 1st place. After forming a group with Ken they put out several mixtapes with the first few being on cassette only! but after years of recording and slow progress both guys decided to focus on personal life. It was temporary for Indo Mike though. Indo Mike went on to created several mixtapes with another local artist named Lil Ted until stepping away from music officially in 2004. Indo Mike is back focusing on making music and making beats as well. Currently Indo Mike resides in Dallas, TX
