Incursion is an extreme, aggressive, groove-oriented metal band from Louisville, Kentucky that was formed in the summer of 1995. Incursion consists of Stem Holder and Van Avery as dual lead vocalists, Jeremy Robertson and Rob (Gezuz) Combs on guitars, Brian Hart on bass guitar, and Nick Houpt on drums. After recording several demos and honing their skills as a live act on the local club circuit, Incursion released their first studio effort titled "Lord Of Carpathia" in the spring of 1999. It contained five brutal tracks and was so well received that it became the catalyst that brought them to the forefront of the Louisville music scene as one of it's favorites. The follow-up to "Lord of Carpathia" came in the fall of 2001 and was titled "Hymns For A New Revolution". It contained nine tracks and spanned a slightly broader spectrum, a product of the evolution of their songwriting and style. If "L.O.C." was the catalyst, "Hymns For A New Revolution" was their veritable stake in the ground as a driving force in the tri-state area music scene. Their third album, titled "Three Years", was released in the spring of 2005. With it's thunderous riffs, hard-lined groove, and brutally controversial lyrics, it delivered what fans abroad have come to expect from Incursion. All three albums, as well as the rest of their self-styled merchandise, sells remarkably well at shows, online, and in regional independent record stores, a clear testament to their marketability.

Incursion has played countless shows in the tri-state area over the years, which has assisted them in fine-tuning their live show into a well-oiled, time-tested, power packed machine. This formula earned them opening slots for such prominent acts as Hatebreed, Morbid Angel, American Head Charge, Soilent Green, Strapping Young Lad, Candiria, Drowning Pool, Ill Nino, Cold, Bobaflex, Kittie, Chimaira, and 40 Below Summer, among others. It also earned them a prime slot on 2005's Bud Light WLRSFest in Louisville where they attacked the stage before a couple thousand rabid fans. Incursion also secured a track on the soundtrack of "Death Tunnel", a major motion picture released by Sony Entertainment. In conjunction with the latter, they acquired an interview as well as musical excerpts in the documentary "Spooked: The Ghosts Of Waverly Hills Sanitorium", also a Sony Entertainment release, which has aired several times on cable television's Sci-Fi Channel. This has helped Incursion reach an even wider audience than before since both the horror movie and the documentary are distributed worldwide.

As of now Incursion is vigorously writing and rehearsing new material for their next album while maintaining their presence locally with a few club shows here and there. Their goal is to write a plethora of new songs and pick the cream of the crop to be included on the next release. Incursion’s ultimate goal is to attract the attention of a label who will consistently put them in the studio and on the road so that they can reach those that, without this type of sponsorship, they could not otherwise reach. Incursion has fans all over the world who have never had the opportunity to witness their intense live show and they also would like to get their merchandise into the major chain record stores which is virtually impossible without the help of a label. All in all, Incursion seeks to find accomplices that believe in them enough to give them a chance to spread their malevolent mayhem as far, wide, and to the furthest extent possible.
