He spent much of his youth on the Island of St. Vincent W.I. the birth place of his parents. He was exposed to calypso, reggae, jazz, blues, and r&b. While in his early teens INCIENT displayed a yearning for conscious lyrics and performance. He entered the underground HIP HOP scene at the age of 15 under the title EAZY. A nickname given to him by his closest friends for being so laid back. In his first battle, Queens NY, Q CLUB he beat out 13 rappers for a cash prize and respect. At 18, as a guest of LIL BOB, INCIENT preformed for Billy Danzini of MOP at DND studios. He advised You got something most cats dont got, you can make shit flow from beginning to end, off the top of your head. That night INCIENT had his first brush with his future, gazing up at BIGs platinum plaques. He felt at home in the studio and knew HIP HOP was his destiny
INCIENTs style is a composite of street HIP HOP, revolutionary soul, reggae, blues, and spoken word. He has collaborated with many genres of musicians from alternative, folk, to techno and neo-blues. He preforms at Tampa Bay locations at a wide variety of forums. He grabs hold of his audience offering deep spoken word, well thought out, but spontaneous, rhymes and stories . He preforms at local poetry slams, freestyle battles, and HIP HOP venues.
INCIENT offers his time and skills to the youth in his community. He participates in a local boys club donating his Saturday afternoons. He mentors several teens who show great potential with written poetry and are anxious to record in the studio. He guides them in composition and content. He provides the group with lectures on black history, culture, pride, unity, and tolerance.
INCIENT has recently recorded his new album BLURRED, to be released in the near future. It includes tracks, HONOR, RIDE, DI VINCI, and LISTENING.
