Porto Alegre, setembro de 2001. Disarmoneous (g/v) e Desperatus (g)
fundam a impetus malignum, sendo o principal objetivo
manter o projeto conceitual iniciado na vultus devast. assim,
Execratus (d) é convidado a participar
da banda, tendo como referência algumas
músicas da Vultus devast, sendo que boa
parte das mesmas fazem parte do
repertório atual da banda.
em 2003 iniciam as gravaçoes do album debut
When Darkness Devours The Light que por varios problemas
atrasa e termina o material somente em 2006 e logo apos
isso a banda se desfaz,
restando somente Disarmoneous que
começa a editar material de video reerguendo
a banda e contando com a ajuda de
Patricia thomas da Inglaterra que ajuda a divulgar a banda como manager e Mortipherous que
ocupa o posto de baixista ao lado de Iimpious fazendo varias apresentaçoes de 2007 ate 2008 quando entra Sathanya para a bateria e a banda fecha contrato como selo DARK NEW AGE que lança officialmente o cd When Darkness Devours The Light como split com a banda THORNY WOODS. Neste mesmo periodo partcipam do festival Obscure Faith sendo uma das bandas de abertura da banda francesa Otargos. Em 2010 o baixista Mortipherous deixa a banda entao
Sathanya e Disarmoneous gravam o single de 5 musicas
chamado "Death Ride" lançado para download gratuito
na internet após o fechamento da gravadora Dark New Age. Em 2011 entra para o posto o baixista Defterus que faz com que a banda retome seus shows de divulgação de Death Ride.

Porto Alegre, setember 2001, Disarmoneous (g/v) and Desperatus (g)found Impetus Malignum to maintain the conceptual project that began in Vultus Devast. Thus,
Execratus (d) is invited to play on the band having as influence some Vultus Devast songs, being that great part of them compound the so current set list of the
band.In 2003, the band records the debut When
Darkness Devours the Light, that foi many drawbacks delays, being finished only in 2006. Some time later, the band dissolves lasting only Disarmoneous that began to
produce videos rebuilding the band and counting with Patricia Thomas from England, that supports the band divulgation as a manager. Later, Mortipherous engages the bass aside Impious in the drums, playing a lot of
concerts between 2007 and 2008, when Sathanya enters to the drums and the band did a contract with Dark New Age label who releases officially the CD When Darkness Devous the Light as a split with the band Thorny Woods. This same period,the band takes part in the Obscure Faith festival, being one of the opening bands of the French band Otargos. In 2010 Mortipherous leaves the band and so Sathanya and Disarmoneous record the 5 musics single called "Deathride" that soon will be released for free downloading on internet, after Dark New Age Recs was closed. In 2011 the bass player Defterus joined the band wich made Impetus Malignum to return to the shows in order to divulgue Death Ride!
