Ever since her earilest childhood, Irini has been influenced by music and tales. It all began with her father's classical Greek folkmusic, her mother's vinyl discs with Simon and Garfunkel and countless stories she made up while looking in magazines, as she had not yet learned to read. Music classes were Irini's favourites in school and she was chosen to be part of the school choir. In that way her road towards working with music started. Being on tour as a background singer and after numerous of studio projects, Irini finally knew what she was meant to do.Irini works with melodies as well as lyrics in various styles and genres; pop, rock, dance, ethnic and r&b - from catchy uptempo beats to emotional ballads. She writes in 3 different languages; English, Swedish and Greek. Irini is inspired by many people and the variety is broad, therefore it's impossible to mention a few. "If you keep your eyes wide open and let curiosity guide you, there's inspiration to gather everywhere", as Irini would say. After working freelance for many years, Irini now works with Lionheart which has already resulted in co-writes and collaborations with well-known writers.When the songs for Melodifestivalen 2009 where announced in late 2008 Irini Michas made her debut as songwriter for a song in the competition with the song "Alla" (Άλλα) by the artist Sofia (Berntson). "Alla" is co-written by Irini Michas together with Henrik Wikstr�m, Nina Karolidou and Dimitri Stassos. Sofias newly released song "Pote"(Ποτέ) is a result of a collaboration between Irini Michas, Dimitris Stassos and Nektarios Tyrakis.
In the autumn of 2008 Spanish artist Soraya released her fourth album "Sin Miedo" (Universal/Vale Music) containing the song "La Noche Es Para M�" written by Irini Michas together with Dimitri Stassos, Jason Gill with Spanish lyrics by Felipe Pedroso. "La Noche Es Para M�" by Soraya also won the Spanish national competition to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow on the 16th of May 2009.
Recently her collaboration with Dimitris Stassos and Nektarios Tyrakis has placed 2 songs on Eleni Foureiras debutalbum; "Ase Me" and "Stavrolexo" which recently reached the amount of recieving platina record.
Currently she looks forward to 2011 and her entry for the Swedish Melodifestivalen with the artist Sanna Nielsen. The songs title is: "I'M in LOVE" and written together with Bobby Ljunggren, T.Gson and Peter B�str�m.
