‘i [love] Space’ have decided to take an indefinite break from playing music. we’ll all no doubt be kicking round in different and other’d guises, so treat us with the shouting-a-round-at-yr-local friendliness yr reserve for those sit-com xmas specials where all yr fave scenes from the past are re-lived, minus the fluff.



a tip of the hat, firm handshake, and most sincere & heartfelt head’s up to everyone who’s watched a show, listened to a record, clapped, shouted, laughed, cried, or tried to stab us after a show over the past few years. they’ve been times we’ll tell our grandkids about, and the people we’ve sailed through on our journey with have, to sink into most hated cliché, made it all possible, and most certainly all worthwhile.

i [love] Space is a 4-piece band from Sydney, Australia.



[love] is a heart symbol. visualise.



Formed in 2004, with an indie single 6phase finding itself on rotation on JJJ and community radio, the band underwent a line-up change in 2005, before releasing a limited edition (200 handmade copies) single, birds.attck in February 2006.



birds.attck was selected by Channel 10 as the soundtrack to commercials to promote television show The OC for the week Feb 7th-14th, before being put on med-high rotation by JJJ and high rotation on community stations including FBi and 2SER. in limousine windows put on high rotation on community stations including FBi and 2SER.



In May 2006, the band released its debut EP, Sinful Sounds From A Vintage City (Reverberation). The EP is currently in its second pressing.



JJJ added birds.attck to their MP3s page, and the track was subsequently downloaded over 12,000 times. JJJ also recorded the band live in their studios for Home & Hosed. This performance was filmed for JTV, and screened on ABC on August 18th. birds.attck was included on the Home & Hosed vol. 4 compilation.



in limousine windows was chosen to feature on a CD sampler for the September 2006 edition of Rolling Stone Australia. An interview with the band was included in the issue.



i [love] Space has toured with Youth Group and Bit By Bats, and played alongside the likes of Magic Dirt, Gaslight Radio, Faker, theredsunband, Hot Sauce, Expatriate, The Devoted Few, and The Cloud Room (NYC) to name a few.



Brooding, epic indie pop, and the best thing Ive heard come out of Sydney all year . a band who manage to harness eclecticism whilst maintaining their own coherent, confident sound.
