Illphonics is a band that creates a musical sound best described as hip-hop fusion. They were formed in 2006 in St. Louis, MO, and by combining the varied influences of its members, they make a sound that well-respected audio engineer, Paul Hennerich, described as "P-Funk meets Pink Floyd".  Already having opened for the Roots and Lupe Fiasco, as well as many notable alternative acts, the Illphonics are ready to connect with audiences as diverse as their sound.

The band has just finished their second studio offering, an EP entitled "ILLUSION", and it has been released as a free download at Illphonics.net.  And while they are always writing and recording new music, the band has also started to take their sound to other great music cities like Chicago and Memphis.

The unlikely formation of the band in 2006 was initiated by Illphonics frontman and emcee, Larry "Fallout" Morris, when he was an Audio Production student at Webster University.  He decided to make use of the school's recording studio to record an album, and called on his U. City High comrades Keith "Bizkits" Moore (keys), Chaz "CB" Brew (drums), and Simon "Spanky" Chervitz (bass), as well as fellow Webster classmate, Kevin "Killa K" Koehler (guitar), to provide the songs and instrumentation. After four years of rehearsals, shows, and recordings, the band's music has evolved into something the band likes to call the "Illphonics Sound"---changing with each member's personal growth.
