THE JOURNEY SO FAR.



It all started at the age of seven watching a Michael Jackson video (thriller of course!), singing along to it, Mum walks into the room and says "you've gotta beautiful voice". From then Ive been hooked on expressing myself vocally and the journey began. At secondary school at the age of 13, I met a friend of mine called Janan and we decided to form a group (kids!!!), called JD&I later known as Forte, with two other members called De-u and Alex Beresford now an ITV weather presenter.



Throughout the eight year period in the group I experienced the ups and downs, smiles and frowns that come with the music industry, from performing as the support act for Dru Hill in Bristols Colston hall to performing in a back street club to a crowd of ten people I always had offers to go solo for other projects by different companies like L.E.T Management (Cleopatra), Riddem Records (Fresh Blood), Random Records (Lynden David Hall), Cent Records (Jamie Pearce) and Relentless Records (Joss Stone) but I felt I wasnt ready at the time because I had a lot of growing up to do and being in the group helped me learn and grow as an Artist, an experience I'll never forget!!! But, Ive now decided to go it alone and focus on my solo career.



I've just come back from Sweden after an eleven month period and worked with a production company called Base Camp, where I penned and recorded 40 songs with a producer called Mustodamus.



I love capturing emotions and experiences on paper, whether "good or bad, happy or sad" Its a blessing to be able to do that. Writing for other artists is another edge to me. Im also quite versatile and have been working with different Drum n Base producers for a while. They are Danny Byrd (Hospital records), Lomax (Ram records) and Xample (Ram records) and Sigma (Breakbeat chaos). I was feautured on Danny Byrds album called SUPERSIZED and co wrote and featured on several tracks. One in particular called RED MIST was very successful becoming No 1 on the Uk dance charts in 2009. It is also in the computer games, DJ HERO and MIDNIGHT CLUB LA, and also on the sound track for the flim DEAD MAN RUNNING. I am also featured on his 2010 smash called ILL BEHAVIOUR which went to no 36 in the UK singles charts and No 7 in the Dance charts. I did a huge track called REMEMBER with Lomax and Xample (Loadstar) and also RAPIDAS released in 2010 . There are also future releases featuring me on the way so all you Drum and Base heads look out. for 4 years I was in the musical LUV ESTHER (an NGM production) playing the part of a king XERES, which travelled all over the Uk and ended in febuary 2010.



Vocally, I get my influences from the likes of Joe, Donnell Jones, Stevie Wonder, and many more great vocalists. Emotion and delivery are what my vocals are about and Im learning more and more as I continue on this journey. I love performning because it gives me a chance to loose myself and it feels like im FLYING!!!
