In an age where the music industry now creates stars instead of artistically developing them, Iggy Cosky is a star. The Raleigh, North Carolina based singer, songwriter, musician and producer has all of the it qualities a music star possesses; looks, a confident humility, and most importantly, prodigious natural talent and unlimited potential. And oh, what talent the New Jersey native possesses.



A self-taught musician, Iggy has mastered several instruments, including the bass, drums, piano, and his instrument of choice, the guitar. Growing up in New Jersey, Iggy was influenced by the guitar styles of bluesmen such as Robert Johnson and Jimi Hendrix. Like Hendrix, Iggy started playing the guitar before he ever received his first one by strumming his own leg at age five.



At 14, Iggy was recording songs in his bedroom, using a Windows Sound Recorder and a two-dollar microphone. It was the beginning of his transformation from a music lover who played an instrument to a full-fledged musician who knew that music would be his life.



At 17, Iggy would take yet another step in his music maturation process by listening to innovative artists such as Sly Stone, James Brown, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis. Another side of Hendrix was exposed to him by singer and producer Wade3, who would help Iggy hone his craft as musician. Wade3 taught Iggy the roles of a musician side and front man, and showed him the tricks to entertaining his audience. Iggy immersed himself in the music of Miles, James, and Sly, teaching himself to play the guitar parts of each artist, becoming an even deeper musician.



Now 21, Iggy is performing all around Raleigh, and has garnered a sizable cult following as he readies to take his place as music's next big thing. He's also writing material for his first album, incorporating both old and new sounds and styles into his own sound.
