i eat records formed with the release of an ep by the casting couch in march 2005 and followed with a compilation entitled "appetizers & leftovers" featuring all of the bands on the label at the time as well as previously unreleased tracks by okkervil river, summer hymns, shearwater, phosphorescent, the places, and many more (21 in all). rounding out 2005 were new full-length releases by ethan azarian, the handsome charlies, the glass family, and the casting couch in addition to the orange mothers' greatest hits. in 2006, i eat records welcomed new full-length releases by brothers and sisters, darling new neighbors, and paul minor to the catalog. this year, we are very proud to present new albums by black before red, thor (percussionist extraordinaire for shearwater, smog, angels of light, and devendra banhart to name a few), bourgeois heroes, and horse + donkey. still on the horizon is a release by vetran, project of bren mead from masters of the hemisphere. all this and american apparel shirts emblazoned with our logo may be found at www.ieatrecords.com
