Trophies Of Dahmer, a band formed out of the remnants of other Hertfordshire metal bands in the summer of 08' locked themselves away writing new fresh material hoping to come back into 2009 with real impact. They succeeded in writing a well written varied set, written with the inspirations musically they had as a band which they decided to play until the end of march 09'.
At this point the band sat down and really thought about the songs they had created and decided they would like to write a new set, taking all the strengths of the first set and new inspirations they had derived from gigging and writing. The end of march through april the band started writing, taking every beat every riff into consideration until they where all happy with the end result. They went into the prestigious EAS studios in Milton Keynes and recorded their first song from the upcoming EP "Cherished Waves"
At this moment in time, Trophies Of Dahmer are still writing their EP and hope to record in within a few months. 2009 looks to be a defining year for Trophies.

"Trophies Of Dahmer have got to be one of the more serious contenders for success in our area. Their intense, state-of-the-art metal assault is relentless and brutal, and with six band members (including 2 guitarists and keyboards) their sound is a multi-layered wall of noise that leaves you exhausted after just one listen. Epic.
Having formed little over a year ago, the band wrote a brace of tunes that they gigged before deciding to ditch the lot and start again, taking the best bits of the old set and concentrating on writing material for their debut EP. If this taster is anything to go by, Trophies Of Dahmer should expect to be signing a deal with a decent metal label in the not too distant future, and Kerrang! should be all over them.
Cherished Waves kicks you in the teeth from the first bar with galloping drums and bass and crunching guitar riffs over-layered with keyboard washes. Singer Dan screams and roars all the way through, with some effective vocal chants and wicked guitar runs. The track is a monster.
Think you’re into metal? Get yourself over to Trophies Of Dahmer’s site and test your credentials, you pussies."
