::: PRESS :::

'I Am Jack have real talent and a truly original sound that I absolutely love. Its not often that you hear something as fresh and inspirational and I'd urge anyone with discerning musical taste buds to check them out'

--- Duncan Barkes, SPIRIT FM

'. their music is best described as atmospheric soundscapes which are as dark and immotive as they are fresh and inspirational'

--- Milly Luxford, SPIRIT FM

'I Am Jack combine the mellow with the heavy in this recording, which is best described as a mesh of Kurt Cobains haunting vocals with Biffy Clyro's Progressive Rock energy. The result is a spectacular mix of indie prog rock which captivates you then turns the amps up to 11 to make sure you get the idea; I Am Jack are here, and they are here to stay'

--- 'The Shortlist', SALLYFORTH MUSIC

'The five-piece prog rockers from Chichester plunged into a set of melancholic backdrops for their faithful following with a mix of haunting vocals, layered falsetto and three guitars stacked end to end. Their music had a grand scale about it, with each of their songs playing out like a cinematic scene in the traditions of the ever operatic Muse'

--- SURFACE UNSIGNED - ROUND 1

'My frustrated scribbles in their various shapes and forms are meant to describe the hench sound of I am Jack but do not at first glance do them justice. As the ending comes we can whisper apologies and beg to stay or we can set fire to the night and scream some meaning at the cosmos in a final blaze of glory? I Am Jack most definitely answer with the latter'

--- SURFACE UNSIGNED - ROUND 2

'Wow! Progressive rock at its finest, they played a solid set that was akin to My Bloody Valentine or New Brand New. It has an epic kind of heaviness that gives them a potent shot of rock credibility. The 4 guitars (3 guitar, 1 bass) just added a new dimension to what you were hearing, so much so that it jarred your brain, as the whole thing wrapped itself around your mind, body and soul' --- SURFACE UNSIGNED - SEMI FINAL

'I am swimming in sound; the sheer volume of emotion is enough to confuse the senses. No longer do we have the subjective preconceptions that haunt our musical tastes; caution to the wind and damage to the ear drums, this is emotion in sound. A Sonic Youth for the new era; a distress signal for the others that the end is coming. No one can match the feeling I Am Jack put into their songs. A wall of sound that re-evaluates the way you think about progressive rock.' --- SURFACE UNSIGNED - SOUTHERN UK FINAL
