Formed in late 1973, "The Kevin Zentner Blues Explosion" (later to be renamed Hundred Acre Wood) took Vicksburg, Mississippi by storm with their unique blend of southern bluegrass. In the spring of 1975 they recorded their first album with Jeremiah Hopper at Tin-Tone Studios in Jonesboro, Arkansa. This record would continue to top the bluegrass charts nation wide for the next two years, sparking a series of cross-country tours. In 1980 the band relocated to Weyburn, Saskatchewan and continued work on their second album, this album would never be released due to conflicts within the band that caused them to go on hiatus in 1981. Overtime the tensions between members faded and the band reformed in 2003 under the name Hundred Acre Wood. With their new name the band worked hard for the next year, building up a repertoire of songs and opened for bands such as Misery Signals, Ion Dissonance, Horse the Band, With Honor, The Warriors, The End, and Comeback Kid. Hundred Acre Wood recently released a six song EP entitled The Inuit Acquisition Vs. The Bouchard Administration in the summer of 2005.
