Every once in a while true musicians come along with talent so remarkable and advanced,you have to appreciate their development to a higher and more complex form.



HOOK is comprised of two remarkable and ambitious young men who found each other through their passion and love for music.Keoni and Teddy are not prefabricated concepts put together, but are true artists who have formed a camaraderie that is representative of today's R&B/Urban Soul/ Hip-Hop needs. HOOK desires to be among the first duo-male R&B / Urban Soul groups to adopt this sort of '' Hip-Hop doo-whoop'', that bridges old school & new school creating a fresh sound that is unmistakably HOOK.



These two guys are more than just a couple of musicians singing some songs, they are true artist who are contributing their talents to an effort. Their effort will always be to make the best music that can be made at the time and in that place. Combining rich melodies, warmly enveloping vocals, natural instrumental textures, and a simple stated yet profoundly powerful message in each song-love yourself and be true!!- HOOK has drawn a legion of fans who find themselves not only entertained, but encouraged , warmed , and even changed by their music.



'' KEONI '', Black , Hawaiian and Portuguese-Spanish. Keoni was born in North Carolina and grew up singing in Church. Keoni says '' Our records are simply our lives put to music . I want to find the simplest phrase that everyone says, no matter what language you speak . I believe a hit (record) song is one that is rendered with great craft and conveys simple ideals that are heartfelt, and resonate with listeners of any age,race,creed,or nationality.



'' TEDDY'', Born in Brooklyn,N.Y.into a musically gifted and affluent family. Absorbing the musical attitudes of his family since birth and being surrounded by accomplished siblings, he was able to expand his grasp and love of music. Receiving a scholarship to further his education in music and the performing arts,he has managed to establish himself as a great vocal arranger and songwriter. Teddy says. '' Music helps me relax and regroup for whatever life has in store for me. This album really gave us a chance to express ourselves and reflect a li'l more on our lives Take our new song (record) '' Clear '' for instance.The sounds on this record is a mix of music I grew up with as well as music I've been involved with in the past couple of years. These songs are our stories and the people who collaborated with us are not only my friends but they are like family . I am very fortunate to complete a project like this that is so rewarding on so many levels''



The newest recording from HOOK,'' Livin' In Da Spotlight'', gives substance to there mission statement .'' We don't just entertain, we also educate!'' This statement is not only reserved for recordings but is a major ingredient in HOOK's live productions.



Being an L.A. based group has expanded there musical prowess and has helped them gain an overall no-nonsense attitude to their approach at writing, performing , arranging and recording music.
