Formed as a 4 piece band in December 1995, with original members Dave and John, it also had Adrian on vocals and Andy on guitar. This line-up lasted 8 months, 3 gigs and one 7 song demo, that no songs have been officially relaeased from. Adrian was then sacked for being a posing hippy bastard and 2 further 5 song demos were recorded with Dave taking over vocal duties. 2 songs (Punch Drunk + Homebrew) from the first of these demos were the bands first release on a split E.P. with other North Yorks (Thirsk) Ska punk legends The Write Offs. Another track from that demo (Legacy) ended up on the excellent No Front Teeth Compilation.

3 Songs from the second demo (Dull and Duller, Climax and Why Don't You Just Fuck Off?) were released on the Compilation - Faster Louder Volume 1, which also contained the first released songs by Freaks Union. Andy left soon after this due to having a job in London and not being able to commit himself to the band as much as he would like.

The band now recruited Lee from Joe 90 as a temporary guitarist and Aaron form the Write Offs as a permanent singer. This line-up then recorded the 4 songs (Fuck Guttermouth, Ciderpunk Revolution, Fuck 'N' Drink and Force Fed) at Huddersfield College, in about 2 hours, to be released on the You Make Me Sick compilation. Then they recorded 4 songs (Monarchy In The UK, Vics Alright, Ciderpunk Revolution and Servants And Masters) for the Monarchy In The UK E.P.

Aaron left the band shortly after that to follow his girlfriend down to Portsmouth and Lee realised he was probably stuck with us, so Dave was back on vocals.

Now a 3 piece again, 7 songs were recorded (Pub Crawl, Vermin, Negligence, Room 101, Out Of Spite, Unclefucker and In It For Life) and realeased on the extremely hard to get, Music For The Underprivileged compilation CD.

The band now hope to enter the studio to record an album before the end of 2006 and then hopefully have it released some time early in 2007.

***** Homebrew Update*****

Alright, obviously the previous update never happened as planned, Ric Rac studios hard drive crashed and we lost the 8 songs we had recorded as the first part of the album, but we went back into Ric Rac and re-recorded 6 of the songs for an EP to be titled 'Rock Bottom.' Those songs were Rock Bottom, Psychosematic, Homebrew, Seize The Day, Arsehole and Fuck N' Drink. The EP will hopefully be released on 10 or 12 inch vinyl around February 2009. Will put more details on when they are confirmed. We have put the finished versions of Rock Bottom and Arsehole (we have been playing both these songs live for a while) on our profile for listening, downloading or adding to your own profile.

In further news, we finished the mixing of our new album on Monday 6th of October 2008. 10 brand new songs - Youth Of Today, New Rules, Human Nature, Same Old Story, Nothing To You, Gods And Monsters, Streetlight Riot, Celebrity Stalker and Holding Cell. We also re-recorded Why Dont You by popular demand and Out Of Spite because it is a band favorite. We hope to have this released by Christmas and are just waiting on record label confirmation for that as well. The new album is a real band effort where previously Dave wrote most of the songs. We have uploaded Why Dont You and Gods And Monsters for listening, downloading or adding to your profile.

We will probably do another video with Shrimp for the new album after the sterling job he did with Psychosematic, which is worth a watch still, if you have not checked it out yet. Will post more news on that when we have arranged it.

Finally thanks for all the support we have had over the years from all punks everywhere. Feel free to message us or comment us on any opinions about the new songs.
