Now booking:
We do acoustic shows at TRIP in Santa Monica. We call them Hollowbody Sundays. We also do plugged in shows there (Solidbody Fridays). There's a nice buzz about this place as of late. We are at The Viper Room Lounge on alternate Sundays. We also host Viper Room Mainstage shows - obviously plugged in – on those same Sundays. Hollowbody LA also hosts about 6 shows per month at The MINT! We do acoustic shows (solo thru full band) at Cafe Cordiale, Sherman Oaks every other Wednesday night. We call it "Acoustic Cordiale" (free all ages gigs for close to 5 years). We recently added 'On the Rox' to our wonderful roster of venues. We host shows at this lounge, upstairs from the legendary 'The Roxy' on Sunset Strip, on several nights a month. Please see the attached (below for our) information sheet for more details about each of our venues.
We're highly interested in working with any talented, hard working artists that could help us fill seats and bring the night to life with their music
Some important thoughts:
It's the musicians and their fans that keep music venues open around Los Angeles. I urge you to remind yourself that any gig worth booking is worth promoting. Scheduling shows too close together oversaturates your fanbase. Performing a show without having promoted it well, is bad for everyone involved. You're hurting and disappointing the establishment as well as the booker/promoter. You may be causing the two or three people that showed up to see you, to question whether or not they're supporting the right artist. You don't earn any money or sell any merchandise and needless to say, it's no fun playing for an empty room. Success is achieved on all levels and favorable reputations are forged through diligence in not only your performance, but your promoting efforts. As a very busy artist myself, I've always felt that until I land the cover of Rolling Stone or have a song cracking the top 10, that promotion must be half of my craft. I've created a "Promo Tools" tutorial. Please refer to our BLOG if you want some solid tips to fortify your current promo methods.
Thanks for hearing me out. See you at the shows!
