The Spacetones are an independent intergalactic hip-hop trio from the vast tundras of Springfield, Missouri. Tahmipee (Rhymes) and Casey (Beats) got together in February of 2006 and began work on their first LP, "Serving You Something Tasty," which is available for free. In late 2007, DJ Geeg was added to lineup to provide some sick cuts and add to the Spacetones' live experience. The three are currently working on a follow-up record which promises to bring the spaciest grooves to ever come out of Springfield.

The group uses no computers in the creation of their music, relying solely on drum machines, samplers, turntables, and occasionally live instrumentation to exhibit their unique sound. A Spacetones live show is both energetic and funkalicious, often interweaving abstract samples and obscure recordings with crowd pleasing jams and dancefloor tracks. They have played a handful of shows around Springfield at venues like Nathan P. Murphy's, The Randy Bacon Gallery, The Outland, The Blue Room, and The Ballroom. In March of 2008, the 'tones played their first "road gig" at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO.
