Him & Her is Brenda Freed on vocals, piano, guitar or mandolin and Michael D'Eath on harmonica.

Brenda Freed has been performing in Texas since 1991 when a 9,000-mile bicycle trip beginning in her native state of Iowa ended surprisingly at the Kerrville Folk Festival. She decided to stay in Texas to pursue a singer/songwriter career. Since that time, she has self-released three CD's and toured Texas, the Midwest, California, England and Ireland. In 1999 she met Michael D'Eath at the Kerrville Folk Festival and the two were married in 2000. In 2002, Brenda formed Texas Hot Flash, which included Michael and won a 2005 Austin Music Award for Best Performing Band in their category.

Texas Hot Flash self-released three CD's, performing throughout Central Texas and Southern California, and opening for the Charlie Daniels Band at the 2005 Firefly Festival in Indiana. Work has begun on the first Him & Her CD, projected for release in early 2011. "Brenda has a voice that seems to wrap itself around each note and make it her own", says Graham Warwick (Hill Country Happenings). "She is one of the best undiscovered singers around" says Aaron Allan (Country Music Association Hall of Fame Texas Inductee, 2000; Humvie Legend Award, 1999)

A tasty harmonica accompanist and soloist, Michael D’Eath (pronounced Dee-Ath) grew up in England with a musical upbringing singing in boys choirs. He moved to Texas as a teenager to pursue a career in high technology. Twenty years later he chose harmonica as his primary instrument. In addition to being a member of Texas Hot Flash, Michael has performed with artists such as Sara Hickman, Mike Blakely, Gerry Burns, George Ensle, Claudia Nygaard, Karen Abrahams, Marvin Dykhuis and Travis “Moonchild” Haddix. Austin musician, Alton Rex, said, “Michael plays the harmonica the same way all the great singers sing. with a passion directly from the heart. His playing is a pure expression of soul, and it resonates some place deep in the source of us all. In my ten years in Austin, I've heard none better, and he's my first call when I need a harmonica for a recording session."

Couple Michael's harmonica playing with Brenda's voice and you have a perfect duo. Caressing each note with their individual styles, Him & Her create a unique blend for the beautiful melodies of their original songs, ranging from folk to blues to jazz. They also add their style to carefully chosen covers.
