This band began playing shows in the Summer of 2004.
Locally, Hillbilly Deathride racked up over a hundred shows between 2004 and 2006, sharing the stage with nearly every band in the area, as well as some signed acts such as Trivium, EyeHateGod, Byzantine, and Dog Fashion Disco.
Individually, members of Hillbilly Deathride secured endorsements of companies like Silverfox Drumsticks, Madison Amplifiers, and Hot Picks Guitar Picks. Through the Hot Picks USA endorsement, the band went on to win a contest among the company's family of endorsed bands, eventually appearing in Revolver Magazine advertising the unique picks.
Having accomplished these and other shenanigans by playing locally on a home-recorded 4-song demo, Hillbilly Deathride entered the studio with Aarron Fisher to record their first professional material. What resulted was a 10-song EP that the band wasn't sure what to do with. They decided to take a break to review the album, focus on their families, work on other projects, and face a few personal demons. That was 2007.
Now the time is right. The album 'Cremation of Care' is being released this fall and 2012 will be the year the earth shakes with the return of Hillbilly Deathride. The road has been long and treacherous - and This band has faced most of its demons, but some of them are coming along for the ride.
