In spite of the intriguing name, The HighFlyerz, were not a successful hip-hop group born over night. The music has been brooding for over 11 years. TC (Terrence Carter), Franchise (Francis Mack), and Jester (Bobby Musgray) were all classmates from the 7th grade of middle school in Ft.Hood, TX, all the way until they graduated from college in Waco,TX. These young men had known from an early age that they wanted to be entertainers and profit from the music they had been making through the years. As Franchise, Jester, and TC wanted to be more public with the music, they added two more ferocious MCs to the group in what would be the beginning of The HighFlyerz.

Xsell (Charles Hunt) and Kalico (Kemp Carter) joined the group as solo MCs wanting to be apart of something special. Excel was creating music with The HighFlyerz in college on a regular basis. The group enjoyed his drive and determination and offered him a spot in the group. Kalico was the last one to join the group and the first one to introduce his younger brother TC, to hip-hop music.



The HighFlyerz brand of music is hip-hop to the fullest. The beats that Jester creates are slick rhythmic patterns that give the group an advantage of not sounding like any other group in central Texas. The lyrics and hooks from Excel, Franchise, TC, and Kemp could easily be quoted in the Source or XXL Magazine. The combination of fiery beats and skilled writers equal a sound like no other. The HighFlyerz are a team on the fore front of the hip-hop waiting for the rest of the world to take notice.
