Zoo-ooom! Here comes Hey Hey, with their short fuse and gigantic appetite. The headstrong superstars are spinning across Philadelphia in a fast-blast snack attack! They're rushing to find the lost giant seabird egg to make the world's biggest omelette! Hey Hey whirls like a cyclone to wallop the bush rats, Francis X, Bush Lad and a load of enemies. They spin, leap, and skid on ice. They jump on logs and whizz through mine shafts in a runaway cart! Hey Hey gobbles everything! The hungrier they are, the wilder they get.

Hey Hey is an instrumental group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Submitted for review is their four song demo, "You're Invited To A Party." Hey Hey plays an amalgamate of Electronic/Funk/Punk, blending a wild variety of sound combinations that at times reminds you of 80's techno, but also has a futuristic pop/rock feel. They are talented musicians with an ear for sound who seem to have a great time jamming together. This group's party music sends the listener on an energetic ride of sound, unfolding with tempo changes, danceable, funky beats, and all-out craziness. Hey Hey's demo is certainly:

"All we know about Hey Hey is

that they’re from Philly, there

are four members in the band,

and they play dance party

music. The sounds are almost

completely electronic, except

for some live drums, guitar

and bass, which adds a nice

touch to the synth scribble

that’s all over their tracks.

Hey Hey pulls a lot from the

Roland 808, which means a

lot of their sounds come from

the 80s, when the 808 and

the 909 was the go-to gadget

for hip-hop musicians. (It’s

still used today.) At some

points, Hey Hey sounds like a

spazzy Ratatat, or a heavier

!!!. The band is all about having

a good time, and although

their demo sounds like a million

ideas fused into one, it’s

exactly what the best parties

"On Saturday, March 31st, you can see a bunch of guys who played their first gig together at a place called Harry Kats in Aston, PA. Marky, Mickey, Danny and Billy make up the band Hey Hey, and they will have the folks at the mighty North Star Bar dancing like 1989 (that's right, I said '89). These guys are so fun! Picture Devo getting in a bar fight with Green Day, but then after the fight, they all had a drink together and jammed out without the lead singers.



This music just makes you want to party, and on the 31st starting at 9 p.m., Hey Hey will party it up with The Danger O's, Sinatrah and Rational Anthem. Marky, Mickey, Danny and Billy are known to invite the crowd up to dance with them, so get to the North Star, have a few drinks and dance the night away with a bunch of guys that are so cool the don't even need to have a singer."
