Hermitude

We started in the Blue Mountains in 2000, Released our first EP (300 Vinyl copies only) in 2002 (5 stars - 3D World, 2002). It quickly sold out and was never repressed.



Followed this up with our debut album - Alleys to Valleys (2003) – the esteemed radio figure Tim Ritchie called it “One of the best hip hop/breaks releases I’ve ever heard” and Urban Hits commented on its “world class hip hop production”.



After Touring for a year or two we decided to write our second Album - Tales of the Drift The first single Fallen Giants took triple j by storm and sat on high rotation for months. “This album leaves the listener satisfied, reinvigorated and refreshed.” Canberra Times



In 2006 we embarked on our first international tour taking on Malaysia, Japan, London, Norway and the West coast of USA (touring with Aceyalone and Abstract Rude).



Managed to get our car broken into in France by Gypsies and have our laptop and synth stolen and hence wrote new songs on the road for the half of our live show we had left. These songs became our 2nd EP and 4th release - Rare Sightings (2007).



After touring round Australia promoting Rare sighting we decided to start our third album - Threads (2008). "Threads, is their finest effort to date. Forget the clichés, the music of Hermitude is just simply beautiful.although one could go through and find the highlights it is in letting the music play from start to end that the sheer pleasure of this album can be realised."

We Toured japan for the third time and China for the first, late 2008.



2009 Hermitude collaborate with Urthboy and Countbounce for Urthboy's 3rd album due out towards the end of 2009.
