HEIMAT-LOS

We recently found that on the net: Heimat-los live in Paris, February 1988 (That night we just came out of the studio right after mixing our last EP) :



HEIMAT-LOS (or HEIMATLOS on the last records) was a pioneer of fast hardcore punk in France during the years 1983-1988. Apart from their fast sound featuring a unique bass, a specifity of Heimat-los (German for "Stateless person") was to sing in several languages.

2008 update : We recently found back our famous bassplayer Jean-Claude (!!!) who had totally disappeared for over 16 years.



Heimatlos 2xCD (all discography + demos + 2 lives) finally came out in June 2006. It can be found in some shops or distros in Japan, U.S.A and France. It can also be ordered directly from Ratbone Records for only 7 euro + shipping at http://ratbone.free.fr/news.html



After Heimat-los split up, three ex-Heimat members formed TEARS OF A DOLL which later became TEAR OF A DOLL without s and with only one ex-Heimatlos member left (the guitarist). So those who want to hear the last two songs written by Heimat-los, "Herbert West" & "White Dawn", (that we had not the chance to record) can hear them performed by Tears of a Doll on their myspace profile (It's the T.O.D. with an S).



Some people asked for a vinyl version of the discography CD. Well it is Angrrr Rds (run by Macario) which is supposed to do it as a triple LP, but the label was in stand-by for logistics reasons. Macario recently said it found a place to stock his records in Paris and thus Angrrr Rds will soon resume its activity with the Heimat-los 3xLP amongst its priority. So there is some hope !

Heimat-los CD will be followed some day by the release of a CD of TEARS OF A DOLL early material which was not released at that time (1989-1990) - One song is already featured as bonus on the Heimat-los CD. - Also on Ratbone Rds (But I am still busy with Naing Naing next album, I haven't really started this projet yet.
