HEIGHTZ, the self-proclaim "The last King on the Mic". defines what a musical artist represents. Special, gifted, creative, entertaining, risk taker, and what the music industry is lacking, unique. Born in New york city raise in the section of Washington heights which represents 90% of the population of dominicans, the influence of english popular music were very slim. but being the first generation of domincans, you could say we were Americanized and soon it became a part of our culture.
Heights was very influence by well-known musical geniuses such as micheal jackson, lionel richie, smoky, james brown, guns and roses, jimmy hendric, modzart, celia cruz, 2pac. Odd choices from where his stopping ground was located. Music was always in his blood. His grandma will tell you his favorite toy was the Radio.
Heightz first notable performance was playing the percussion in 1996 in the world famous Carnegie hall part of borough wide which was an orchestra of the best young instrument musicians in new york city. at age 12 Heightz already perform on the biggest stage. Since then he has perform all over NYC, clubs, lounges, parks, Hot97 showcase, Faces in the crowd showcase in the heart of nyc time square you name it. Now as an inspiring recording artist looking for the chance to be heard world wide.
"There is not one type of music that i do. i simply make good music, making it is not a big enough of a goal to me". once the door opens for this artist and become a house hold name Heightz will make sure his name will be spoken in the same breath as the artist which inspired him.
