The band "HEIDENLAERM" was founded in the end of summer 2004. At the beginning the band had only two members. One of them was Abraxaz (bagpipe, cister, vocals, etc.), who was also the founder of the band, and the other one was ChaozKlauz (Davul, percussion, etc.). What began as a Duo-performance shouldnt end as that. In autumn 2003 they met TomTom (Bagpipe, Cister, etc.) and started their medivial market tour from the bottom as a trio.They didnt have to wait for a long time until they got their first proper stage performances wich also gave them the chance to built up a fan-community. In the year 2006 their first album "Heidenspass & Höllenlaerm" appeared. The album has twelve traditional items with unconventional interpretations and arrangements. It was recorded by Kai Mertens, guitarist of "Harmony Dies",
at "Soundforge Recording Studios" in Berlin, the so-called adoptive country of these 3 Minstrels.
Their own pretension grew on and on and thus another bagpipeplayer was signed on in the beginning of the year 2007.
Nixxus (bagpipes, hurdy gurdy, etc.), now the fourth man in the alliance, also an electoral Berliner,
became a firm component to the band.
Now "HEIDENLAERM" was complete for the moment. But they were restless. You could feel that
these boys have planed something. What began as "a loafer's band" developed by hard work
to a confessed band. Appearances followed with bands like "CULTUS FEROX", "SALTATIO MORTIS" or "SCHELMISH".
The fan-community grew fast and thus it was just a matter of time for the band to get their first gigs as a main act.
Now they are on tour European-wide and an asked group with a full tour plan. But it was also time for the second album.
The works for this album already started in summer 2007. To deliver the best possible result "HEIDENLAERM" chose nobody
else than Tommy Krawallo for their next masterpiece. The owner and sound-engineer of "KABUMM RECORDS", also resident in Berlin, already mixed bands like "CORVUS CORAX", "TANZWUT" or "CULTUS FEROX".
The four bandmembers took their time for the next CD. In July 2008 appeared the second Longplayer from HEIDENLAERM. "BLUTRECHT", contains twelve songs. Six songs from the new album are own compositions, the other six are arranged traditional dance pieces or ballads. As everybody would expected the four minstrels are now on tour around the
landscape.
Die Band „HEIDENLAERM“ gründete sich im Spätsommer 2004 und bestand anfangs nur aus zwei Leuten. Abraxaz am Dudelsack, der die Band eigentlich ins Leben rief und ChaosKlauz an der Davul. Was anfangs als Duo begann, sollte auf keinen Fall als solches enden.
Schon im Herbst wurde die Band durch TomTom, ebenfalls ein Sackspieler, ergänzt.
Als Trio zog HEIDENLAERM nun von einem Mittelalterfest zum Nächsten und wühlte sich buchstäblich aus dem Dreck.
Die ersten wirklichen Bühnenauftritte ließen nicht lange auf sich warten und langsam fingen sie an sich eine kleine Fangemeinde aufzubauen.
2006 erschien das erste Album "Heidenspass & Höllenlaerm".
Es enthällt zwölf traditionelle Stücke mit eigenwilligen Interpretationen und Arrangements.
Aufgenommen wurde es in Berlin, der sogenannten Wahlheimat der drei Spielleute, im "Soundforge Recordings Studio“ von Kai Mertens,
seines Zeichens Gitarrist von "Harmony Dies".
Die eigenen Ansprüche wuchsen immer weiter und so wurde schon Anfang 2007 ein weiterer Sackspieler angeheuert. Nixxus, jetzt der vierte Mann im Bunde, ebenfalls ein Wahl-Berliner, wurde schnell fester Bestandteil der Band.
Nun war HEIDENLAERM fürs erste komplett. Doch von Ruhe konnte keine Rede sein.
Man spürte förmlich, diese Jungs haben noch so einiges vor. Was als „Eckensteherband“ begann mauserte sich durch harte Arbeit langsam aber sicher zur gestandenen Band.
Es folgten Auftritte im Vorprogramm von Bands wie "CULTUS FEROX", "SALTATIO MORTIS" oder "SCHELMISH". Die Fangemeinde wuchs schnell und so war es auch nur eine Frage der Zeit bis die Band für Auftritte als Hauptakt gebucht wurde. Jetzt sind sie europaweit auf Tour und eine gefragte Gruppe mit einem vollem Tourplan.
Auf einem Bein kann man nicht stehen, dachte sich die Band.
Ein zweites Album musste einfach kommen. Die Zeit war mehr als reif dafür.
Die Arbeit zum zweiten Silberling begann schon im Sommer 2007. Um eine bestmögliche Arbeit abzuliefern wählte HEIDENLAERM keinen geringeren als Tommy Krawallo für ihr nächstes Meisterwerk.

Die vier Berliner ließen sich Zeit für die neue Scheibe.
Monatelang blieben alle Infos zur neuen CD geheim. Doch nun ist es soweit.
Im Juli 2008 erschien der zweite Longplayer von HEIDENLAERM.
"BLUTRECHT", enthält zwölf Songs. Sechs davon sind eigene Stücke, die anderen sechs sind selbst arrangierte traditionelle Tanzstücke oder Balladen.
