Hector! formed late in 2005 after meeting on a pirate ship.

Hailing from Wigan, home of George Formby, Babbys y'ead, Wigan Wasps swimming team and the greeting "t'alreet wilt", the Hector! boys got sick of the sea. Rumour has it Rob Fairhurst (drums) was chiselling his guns in the ships weightroom when Glen T.Hupton(bass) was seen chomping on a fellow shipmate's leg. Rob, not wanting to be eaten alive by this hungry beast, ran for assistance and found a spanish waiter: Martin Battle (vocals and guitar) and professional arm wrestler Craig Harrison (guitar).

The 3 managed to trap Glen in an unused office and actually befriended the animal by talking to him through the letter box and posting him the odd egg in a barm.

The rest, as they say (who are they?), IS HISTORY!
