Heavy Load are a punk band some of the band have learning disabilities some don't.



Heavy Load have been together for over 13 years and since becoming cult heroes on the disability arts scene have started to try and break through in to the mainstream music scene.

They've managed to survive through their raucous energy, attitude and sheer volume and have played in New York and at Glastonbury Festival, as well as playing regularly around the UK.

Last year the movie about them was premiered at SXSW and has since been screened on IFC in the US, BBC4 in the UK and also at UK cinemas and various international film festivals.

Now they have just finished recording a theme tune for a UK TV drama series and are carrying on their busy touring schedule promoting their Stay Up Late campaign.



Heavy Load break all the rules because they don't know what the rules are.



Heavy Load have unwittingly rediscovered the true meaning of what punk is - punk is not about haircuts - badges - nose rings or snarls - punk is saying how you feel - ignoring the trendies and speaking the truth.
