"5 piece alt rock band Heartstring have been together for 3 years, this certainly shows as the band play a very tight set. Cool riffs, steady beats and sexy solos set them apart from the rest. Expect to hear more from these guys (and girl)."

-Surface Unsigned Festival-

Tim Brookes (Surface Unsigned Festival Semi Finals, Moho Live, Manchester 3rd August 08): " Heartstring

As tuneful and professional as ever, Heartstring performed their unique mix of soft, melodic female vocals and danceable rock music with their usual helping of frantic drumming and the shake of a tambourine. In terms of musical direction, the band appears to be heading down a very groovy path and certainly seem destined to explore more. It's great to see a band improve themselves and put on an even better performance than the previous round, which is exactly what Heartstring accomplished tonight".

"a beautiful, fresh, lyrical light rock sound from The Wirral! Album on the way."

-Furness Fest Organisers-

HEARTSTRING IN 21 WORDS: Heartstring are a multi-regional vibrant band, with extreme diversity of genre influences. Their Belief in the music is portrayed in performance.

HEARTSTRING

Heartstring's unique melodic rock style sets them apart from the rest. Their diverse range of styles has changed throughout the years, giving them a varied number of songs. Their sound has been likened to that of No Doubt and Garbage, but each member brings their own influences to the band, helping to create a brand new, exciting and modern style of contemporary rock.

Set up in 2005, the band are now regulars around the Northwest gig scene and have played at some very special festivals such as the brand new Furness Festival in Barrow-in-Furness, playing on the headline stage, to the Williamson Square Streetwaves festival in Liverpool and the 60th WWII Anniversary concert held in Coronation Park, Wirral.

The band have had positive reviews on radio and magazines such as Talksport, The Buz, Bloom (based in Germany), HGRNJ (New Jersey), Chorley FM, Seven Waves, Rare FM and CISM FM in Montreal, Canada. Recently Heartstring songs were played during half time at Liverpool FC home games at Anfield football stadium, when they played PSV Eindhoven (1st October 08) and Portsmouth (29th October 08) the tracks were heard by 45000 people.

The band are now finishing off their new 12 track album titled, Hybrid Calling, due for release early 2009, whilst finishing off a spout of gigs in the Northwest in areas such as Liverpool, Manchester, Blackburn, Stoke & Barrow.

"They stand out for a start by having a female vocalist, but their alternative musical sound is their main draw. Whilst comprising the standard set of instruments – electric guitar, bass and drums – their diverse musical influences comes through in their music to set apart their sound from that of other bands. They have cracking performances and are going from strength to strength" (Matthew Rimmer, Rare FM Radio DJ).
