HEADSPEED are an explosive high- energy metal band, who were formed in 2002 in the home of heavy metal, WOLVERHAMPTON, ENGLAND.



The band spent the early part of 2003 putting together a truly awesome live set, which just has to be seen to be believed. After only a handful of shows, magazines and radio stations were falling over themselves to find out more and review HEADSPEED.



Being likened to acts such as METALLICA and DISTURBED, but with their own unique blend of aggressive to subtle songs, the band were quickly winning many new friends and fans.



With this HEADSPEED called on old friend Andy Mills, from Spool Studio's, who agreed that with the correct marketing, the potential for this band could be colossal, and so they set about recording the 'BLUEPRINT FOR DISASTER' album at Spool in 2004. Before the release of 'Blueprint', the band were invited to open up shows for ANTHRAX, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, TESTAMENT, SIKTH and BREED 77, thus expanding the ever-growing fan base, and further confirming the market place for HEADSPEED'S music.



The band released 'BLUEPRINT FOR DISASTER' on their own DEFCON MUSIC label in November 2004 at a sell out party and headline show in their hometown of WOLVERHAMPTON.



Soon after, a nationwide search was held by KERRANG RADIO, and the band

were picked by KERRANG listeners, DANI FILTH, and ROADRUNNER records to support CRADLE OF FILTH on their 'NYMPHETAMINE' UK tour in April 2005. Since then things have progressed quite rapidly, and also lead to HEADSPEED signing a deal with London based COPRO/CASKET Records, who re-packaged, re-mixed and re-released the 'BLUEPRINT FOR DISASTER' album on June 20th 2005, with worldwide distribution through PLASTICHEAD.



Headspeed spent the remainder of 2005, and early 2006 touring relentlessly in support of the 'Blueprint' album. With tour dates alongside acts such as UNION, PAPA ROACH, STONE SOUR, and ex label mates PANIC CELL under thier belts, the band also provided music for the soundtrack to both the 2006 movie 'FRIGHTWORLD' (Red Scream Films USA), and the GUMBALL RALLY (Extreme Sports EU). This saw Headspeed enjoying welcome praise from around the globe, and in particular their small group of loyal fans in the United States.



Never being a band to sit back and relax, Headspeed re-entered Spool studio's in September 2006 to start work on the follow up to 'Blueprint', with the album, 'Reborn'. This recording see's the band take a slight turn in direction with a more mature and personal approach to songwriting. The result is without doubt, the bands best work to date, being more accessible to a wider audience, yet still retaining the trademark HS sound. With the second album now recorded, mixed and ready to go, Headspeed are seeking a new management team to take over, and a respected label to secure the general release of 'Reborn'.
