graphic from pen&ink byJ. Berard Smith - 1976.I had hair back thenOk - so I picked up the guitar again. And I was playing around with a webcam at the same time - so videos of practices were inevitable, I guess. Surprisingly, they do a pretty good job of showing hand position etc. - but the mic on the webcam is pretty stinky - Oh well - it's just something to do.It's been about 18 years since I've even touched a classical guitar (literally) - and maybe 24, or so, since I was (youthfully) serious about playing. But, once upon a time I really enjoyed it, so I got myself another classical guitar in late Dec, 2003 (sort of a Christmas present to myself from my then recently late wife). My hands are gone (of course) and, though I remember when it didn't, I find the guitar now feels quite foreign in my hands - but I'll play around with a couple of (simpler then - not so now) pieces occasionally, just so I don't go crazy doing only scales and exercisesyeah yeah - I'll believe it when I see it as well -- I just said that in case my old teacher - who, given the current state of my playing, will remain nameless out of respect - ever sees this. I just enjoy plinking around now and then and have no illusions nor aspirations of becoming anything more than a hobby player - but it'll be interesting to see how long it takes to get my hands back - if I EVer get them back. Anyway - I'll drop off a couple of mp3's and a video or two above - but you can watch all the videos or listen to the other mp3's - and view scores for most of the pieces - on the junk pagesHey! I also went ahead and added an audio of the Terrega Prelude no. 11 above . more of a musical thought than a piece, I guess - but it's sort of neat. Enjoy!
