In the beginning there was nothing until, at a certain moment, some spermatozoa found it necessary to proceed to the fertilization of some germ cells. After a few decades this resulted in the noise of Not Yet, the Clitpunkinvasion. Around the turn of the century, some members of the Clitpunkinvasion could still hear well enough to listen to the call of nature for procreation, which led, together with a huge demotivation, to the irrevocable split of the band.

Some members however, being Carolex (guitar) and Josiax (saxophone), decided to keep on harassing humanity for a little longer and founded the band Harakiri. Around February 2002 they kidnapped the bass player from the Belgian band De Bossen, Inneke 23 and asked their charming friend Daphne to join them to hit the drums. This sexy girl is, by the way, the only Harakiri who never played in a band before and, much to the regret of our male fans, totally queer!

About the music, Harakiri continues where Not Yet stopped: simple punk rock riffs filled up with a considerable sense of humour and a spark of insanity and sexual frustration now and then.

Only one year after the birth of HaraKiri, they dived into the studio to record 14 songs, which they released as Ha-Haha on their own label The Twilight Bark that same summer. The reactions on Ha-Haha were so good, that they were even invited to play some concerts in New York City, including CBGBs

Unfortunately a few months later, Josiax decided to leave the band, so they continued as a trio. But that didn't keep them from attacking the human ears. And then somewhere in spring 2007 - since he was always around anyway and jumped with Hara'Kiri on stage on several occasions - it seemed the most natural thing that their good friend Wim DB (De Bossen) joined the band to add an extra touch of rock n roll!
