"Curwood's distinctive voice and poetic songwriting put her
debut ahead of the folky pack"
- Steve Kerr, Sunday Star Times

Hannah Curwood plays delicate slowdive folk-pop. An obsession
with Burt Bacharach and 60's style backing vocals is melded with
the black poetry of Nick Cave and eclectic beauty of Kate Bush to
produce something entirely unique. A dynamic musical force, she
writes lyrical pop with a dark edge, weaving a balance between
dulcet melodies and twisted imagery. Hannah's ethereal voice
tells her stories in a starkly beautiful hushed whisper…

Live, Curwood performs with an all female lineup in The Good
Girls. Fuzzy electric guitar blends with four sultry and finely
crafted vocals; the extra layers of piano and violin work with
their orchestral percussionist's delicate but driven lines to create
a live atmosphere that is simultaneously foot shuffling and spine
tingling.

Hannah Curwood & The Good Girls are currently in preproduction
for an album showcasing Curwood's latest concepts,
marking her departure from previous acoustic based material into
the realm of 'electric lady land'; showcasing her continual
development as a cerebral crafter of visceral, lyrical lady pop.
Roger O Donnell of The Cure will be joining The Good Girls in the
studio to offer a producer's guiding hand. The Good Girls are
excited.

Hannah has two previous releases in her native New Zealand;
both of which were received to resounding critical acclaim and
local radio success. Hannah is also in high demand as a backing
vocalist - her striking voice has graced recordings by Dimmer,
The Checks, Paul Mclaney, Jen Cloher and The Erica Miller
Experience.
