Hania Stach

BIO:
Vocalist Hania Stach graduated from the Jazz and Popular Music department at the Music Academy in Katowice. She learned form the best in the business, including Elżbieta Zapendowska - one of the most famous singing teachers in Poland, and Anna Serafińska - the Grand Prize and Audience Award winner at the World Montreux Jazz Vocalists Competition.
Hania collaborated with a lot of huge Polish stars like Natalia Kukulska and Edyta Geppert.
At the age of 19, she won the popular Polish talent show "Szansa na sukces" (Chance for Success) where she performed a song by another one of Polish icons - Edyta Górniak.
Hania rose to fame by patricipating in the second season of the television show "Idol" (Polish version of "Pop Idol").
She came in second at Polsat TV's TOPtrendy Festival in 2004, where she performed two covers - Boyz to Men's "End Of The Road" (which was also her first single) and Grażyna Łobaszewska's "Czas nas uczy pogody".
Hania signed a five album contract with the Warsaw EMI office and in 2004 she released her debut album entitled "Hania Stach", which contained 13 pop songs, all but one sung in Polish. The single released from this album was "Właśnie w taki dzień" (Just like this day), which gained her 4th place in the 2004 Opole Festival song competition.
In 2007 Hania participated in the Polish National Eurovision Song Contest Final achieving 1st place in a draw with The Jet Set, her song becoming the Eurovision website readers' favourite European song of the year in an esctoday poll.
Also in 2007, Hania won the Kryształowy Kamerton Award granted by the Polish Union of Authors and Composers at the 2007 Opole Festival for her song "To nie tak miało być" (It's not so).
Since 2007 she recorded three more hits, namely Polish versions of "High School Musical" anthems - "Masz w sobie wiarę" (You've Got The Faith), "Moja muzyka to Ty" (You are my music) and "Ty i ja" (You and Me) . She has also performed the voice-over part of Gabriell. The Polish HSM soundtrack version became certified triple platinum after 100,000 copies of the album have been sold.
