Considered one of the finest Hammond organ players throughout the world, Paolo 'Apollo' Negri (b.1979) started his music adventures in 1992 with Italian prog trio Nice Price, before adding his patented grooves to The Link Quartet in 1997, rocketing (and rocking) their sound to a worldwide audience and co-launching his homebase label Hammondbeat Records (USA) with the seminally vintage-sixties rock-funk-soul-lounge underground classic "Beat. It" (2002) that evolved into his solo debut soul-jazz masterpiece "A Bigger Tomorrow" (2007, Hammondbeat) followed by "The Great Anything" (2010, Hammondbeat).
Running parallel to his retro-chic persona there is a hard-progressive side to Paolo that is mainly expressed thru his work with Wicked Minds, any edgy and gritty aggression that frequently gets blended into other projects illustrating a depth of wisdom that one would find in a soul such as Keith Emerson or Jon Lord. Paolo's experience blasts away any genre imposed borders, preferring to use the whole soundscape to create records that are readily adopted by many DJ formats ready to claim them as their own.
