Jake & The Half Conched Band

I say what goes around comes around and it has got to start somewhere. Well my music goes back to where all this madness began, it is a mixture of the Alabama's Coast and the Lower Keys with a touch of that Texas Rawness.



I grew up and loved the sound of the singer/songwriters in the 70's. (I was also a headbanger and loved KISS, Y & T, RATT, THE CREW in the 80's) The music was simple, it was more about the song rather than the production. The lyrics had meaning and people listened and could relate it to their own lives. But now the lyrics have gotten lost behind the mass production of instrumentation. To me "more" never means better unless your talking about some of the finer things in life like cold beer, friends, family and time on the coast.



I wanted to create the things that first made you fall in love with this music. Instead of following in the footsteps, I want to recreate the ones that have been forgotten or washed away by the Tide.



Like the song say's "I like my music, like I like my Oysters Raw" and I plan on staying on that course. So sit back and enjoy the ride!!!
