Richmond VA is a city unlike any other, with a scene to match. On one side of the city you have hardcore metal, on the other a raging punk attitude. Many bands try, many more fail, but one band stands above the rest; Halflit Halo.
The trio, comprised of Chris White (vocals, guitars & keys) Jeb Bach (bass, vocals & keys) and Stuart Coughlan (drums & percussion), got started officially in 2007, however Bach and White have been playing together in various bands since childhood. Since its conception Halflit Halo has gone through its share of reincarnations but this lineup seems to be the perfect blend of Richmond and musical culture.
Amidst a range of influences from Incubus, to Pantera, from Panic at the Disco to Journey, from Radiohead to 311, Halflit Halo has a sound all their own. A technically mastered pride accompanies a blend of powerful melodies, maxed out with emotion. Big choruses and overall catchy tunes that get stuck in your head are another trademark of this incredibly talented trio. Lyrically the band strives for writing music that means something; words that are not just words, but lyrics open to interpretation, lyrics that mean something different to every ear they fall on.
In recording is not the only place they shine however, sharing the stage with bands such as Shinedown, Egypt Central, Souls Harbour, The Autumn Offering, As Summer Dies, Sent by Ravens and many more, Halflit Halo has a commanding stage presence, chock full of energy and a show always full of surprises.
