David and Sirio start rehearsing with various line-ups. After a few name-changes (Infected, Nechronicles, Necropenis), the band becomes a 5 piece combo, with David on drums, Giorgio and Rosario on guitars, Sirio on bass, and Claudio "pallino" on vocals.
The band officially becomes Haemophagus and plays the first gigs in Palermo with extreme bands such as Balatonizer, Jaws, Cadaver Mutilator and Traumagain. The first demo, "Into The Mortuary", is self-released in late autumn and receives a quite good feedback from various webzines. In the meantime, Rosario and Pallino leave the band due to personal problems, and Giorgio switches to vocals and guitar.
Haemophagus plays gigs in Palermo (with Stench of Dismemberment), Cosenza, Catanzaro (with Dishuman), Catania and Messina. Claudio Di Prima's "Circle of Power" studios on April to record what would become a split cd with Toxic Shock Syndrom, produced by F.D.A. rekotz, which will be released only in 2007. After some apparently unsolvable personal problems, the band decides to split up in summer.
The guys meet again to bring Haemophagus back to life. The split cd with Toxic Shock Syndrom is finally released, the band plays gigs once again and, in September, 4 new songs are laid down for a DIY, 7" split with mincecore sickos Agathocles . Another line-up change occurs when Sirio decides to leave the band in order to focus on his main project, Throne of Molok. Gioele, axeman in Death Prophecy, temporarily plays the bass. In the last weeks of December the band records three brand new songs for a future split.
Gas (ex-180 in Opposity) joins on bass in January. The 7" split is out, and soon after, the band leaves for its first Italian tour (with Shock Troopers) on March. After a whole summer of wearing rehearsals, the guys are ready to record 17 new tracks, most of which will eventually appear on Haemophagus' first full-length album, entitled "Slaves To The Necromancer". A co-produced 7" split w/ Japanese grindcrushers Spiral is unleashed in November.
A 3 way split cd with the infamous Bloodraised and Sick Bong Headquarter, recorded with the help of our dear friend Spadey, is released right before the band's second italian tour, stupidly baptized "Southern Blood Eaters" tour (april 2009). The Haemoes present the 6-way split cd "Illegal Grinding" on their first non-Italian gig at Krastival (Komen, Slovenia) and at "September to Dismember III" fest as well, sharing the stage with acts such as Birdflesh. Ghoul (USA) and many italian underground bands. The first full-length album "Slaves to the Necromancer" is finally released on cd via Despise the Sun and Ignorant Worm recs.
3 out of 5 new tunes, recorded between December 2009 - Jannuary 2010, are featured on a 7" split w/ Norwegian 3 piece Grind Crusher. The band share the stage with Grind Crusher for a Crazy Italian Mini Tour on March. Most notably Gioele joins back Haemophagus, this time on guitar.
