Haemophagia

Haemophagia was formed by Roger Santallusia and Gerard Porqueres during the year 2005 when they met the drummer Alex Medvedev and they began writing songs under the influence of the brutal death bands like Disgorge (USA), Devourment, Dying Fetus, Brodequin, Suffocation and Soils of Fate.

In the year 2006 they recorded the first demo CD called Triple Shot Demo in their own practice room. Then in the same year they had the chance to re-record Head Shot in a recording studio for a local bands compilation cd, and this was added to the first demo and called together Head Shot.

"From Sickness to Cult" was recorded at F2F Studios in Barcelona by Marc Figueras and mixed and mastered by Samuel Ruiz at VRS Studios in Madrid. The Full-lenght contains 8 songs, including "Funeral Inception" a cover of the gods of Death Metal Suffocation.

The cd was released in 2007 by Pathologically Explicit Recordings and that meant a great first step for the band.

Then they get to play on Portside Metalfest (Sweden) /3-01-08/, Houten Death Fest (Holland) /4-12-08/, Chaos Blast Meating 4 in Munich (Germany) /03-21-09/ and Metal GDL (Portugal) /6-05-09/ and also a spanish tour with the band Cerebral Effusion from Basque Country as well as many other gigs in Spain.Some of the most featured were Hate Fest in Sevilla /3-01-09/ with Insidious Decrepancy, Unmerciful, Despise. and Jerahorror /4-04-09/ with Human Mincer, legacy of brutality and Holocausto Canibal.

After the show in Portugal the drummer Alexander Medvedev decides to leave the band. Haemophagia starts looking for a drummer to play on the shows that were booked, one in Barcelona supporting the european tour of Misery Index and another on Mountains of Death (Switzerland).

Eihar, drummer from the monsters Cerebral Effusion agreed helping Haemophagia with an incredible result in a couple of practice:

MOD /8-21-09/ that was a total blast, sharing stage with Devourment, Defeated Sanity, Sarcolytic, Misery Index, Human Mincer.

Once again, in order to play at NRW Deathfest /9-19-09/ in Germany Eihar sits behind the drums of Haemophagia.

The band is nowadays searching for a drummer and working on the 2nd full-lenght and preparing to assault DFOA 2010!
