Biography
Their music is raw, honest, and always real.
Driven by their intense creative focus and gifted with an appealing yet powerful voice and an intuitive flare for songwriting G&A, are young up-coming Latin artists who specialize in urban bachata music. Julio Morales better known as Guayacol is the rapper in this duo, Alexander Torres better known as Ale Nova is the lead singer. Both were born and raised in Puerto Rico. Coming from two different genres of Latin music they came together as a duo in 2003 first doing reggaeton, they exploded on to the live music scene, and they have emerged as solid performers and have achieved many goals as a duo, including making reggaeton jingles for Budlite Beer and McDonalds, and numerous awards along the way. They have opened for and toured with acts such as Don Omar, Tego Calderon, Daddy Yankee, and Calle 13 just to name a few. In 2008 the duo released their full-length debut album, Demostrando. The album was a mix of English and Spanish hip hop, R&B, reggaeton, salsa and bachata. A portion of the profits made from this album was donated to the American Cancer Society to help fund a cure for breast cancer. The duo sold 13,216 copies within 4 months with no distribution deal, only a dedicated street team, and desires to turn a dream into a reality. Even with a steady fan base and numerous booking, G&A felt something was lacking. The duo decided to try something different for their much anticipated second album. After countless hours in the studio, in fall 2009 G&A finally finished their second master piece Passion, a full length urban bachata album. Early in 2010 the duo has been a part of many tours around the States promoting Passion. G&A is now ready to debut their first single from their recent album Passion titled Peligro featuring multi platinum artists Kumbia Kings and Nueva Era. Early in 2011 the duo along with the featured artist will be shooting the video for Peligro, and will be released mid spring nationwide. The main objective with their music career wasn’t always to be rich or famous but to simply do what they love to do best.
