Welcome! Thanks for visiting my profile. My name is Sean and I am the American Artist known as Baron Von Gruvenheimer. My early music is loosely associated with Big Beat, which makes sense, since I am a huge fan and since a lot of my music is acid: house, hip hop, trance. My work also spans other genre like house, fast dance, ambient, fusion and rock.

Most people might not guess that my first crush was east coast hip hop and UK pop punk - in 1983, which is when I started editing my own mixes, and a couple of years later I started mixing. That led to some work as a mobile DJ, and after that I did a five year stint on the air on Pirate Radio in Spokane (90.3 KWRS).
For that market I coined some new phrases (Tune it in, turn it up, and tear out the knob!) and taught us all (myself included) a thing or two about mixing music - with every piece of equipment in the studio, at once, live, on the air. (I had help, I don't really have 8 arms you know).
I like to push the boundaries of electronic dance music, particularly in speed, volume, note splitting and fusing genre. I started composing and producing my own music in 1999. By 2003 I was known as Outlander, when I was a featured artist of Uberlabel.com where I was also a music news and RIAA watchdog reporter.
Since then Oultlander became Gruvenheimer in 2004. I created a label in 2007 with Technetium and Jessica, called Rockmore Records. As things so often happen in the music industry, we all had our differences and went in separate directions. I am happy to see that Rockmore Records is alive and well today.
Shortly after Rockmore Records, in 2008 I briefly incarnated Boomrock Demolicious, which was a lot of fun and greatly enjoyed (thank you Bella Vox for all your hard work!) and I scutlled that label only after the concept for GRAMPA came along - which was just too fine to pass up - otherwise we would have kept Boomrock Demolicious alive.
GRAMPA, my new label, is Gruvenheimer Recordings and Musical Productions Associated. The focus of the label, as you may have guessed, is solely on Gruvenheimer. My new studio and office is in historic Port Gamble, Washington. I am in the process of setting that up, quite literally, now and expect it to take just a few short weeks.
Happily, I am getting married soon, to my gorgeous italian finacee, and my business partners and I started an espresso drive thru business last year, so I have been pretty busy other than with my music promotions.
I do look forward to opening my new location, getting my albums out (soon), and sharing my new work with you all.
Gruvenheimer is a member of the Free Music Movement, and my music is licensed in the Creative Commons.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you had fun. Come back again soon!
Yours in the Beat,
Gruvenheimer
