Pression proves that musical talent runs in the family: A father and his three sons make up the core of the group, which began when the boys were young teenagers in their native Weslaco, Texas. Father and bandleader Jesus Garces Jr. plays the bajo sexto with sons Jesus Garces III on accordion, Jerry Garces on bass, and George Garces on drums.The newest member and other son Eric Garces,joins the group on rhythm guitar and Bajo Sexto,also his grandson Gunther Garces joins on Congas and Percussions.



The band has built a reputation as a premier Conjunto band out of their new home base in Dallas, Texas. Their romantic vocal stylings has created a new sound in the world of Conjunto music. Their first single from their debut album was "El Guiri Guiri," which burned up the charts with its catchy Cumbia beat.



Pressions musical style goes back to the early days of Tejano music with accordion-driven instrumentals, influenced by such artists as Los Cachorros, Ramon Ayala, Cornelio Reyna, and Steve Jordan.



In fact, Pression already has successful musical talent in their blood: Jesus Sr.s cousin is Juan Villarreal of Los Cachorros. Pression, of course, plans to create their own success and continue the musical dynasty.

Pression perform, write and arrange all of their own songs.
