Hello World, I go by redikalis and music is my life. This is a Bio that I created myself for you to get to know me. Before I was born my mother was pursuing her Gospel career but she put that on hold when she found out she was having her first child Me. So music is definitely in my DNA. I remember my dad always playing Tribe Called Quest, Common, The Roots and other HipHop artist when I was younger. I loved playing the drums as a youngster and then I fell in love with basketball. If u went to middle school or high school with me you know that basketball was everything to me. I got the name Redikalis from playing basketball because people used to say that my handle was ridiculous but of course I spelled it different to put a little twist on it. So when I started rapping in 2005 I just stuck with the name. I first started rapping on one of those talk boy recorders and when I played a beat I would record myself. I still got the tape till this day but, I won't let anybody hear that. Jh and Cagle are the only ones that heard that and it’s going to stay that way lol. But after hearing myself and then coming up with some hot punch lines I realized I could spit.



I’ve put out two mixtapes by myself RatedR and RatedR 2 hosted by Dj Thoro. I've featured on Grimey Kennel mixtapes and I've been on a couple best of New Jersey mixtapes. I’m currently working on RatedR 3 and New Jerz State of Mind, which will be hosted by Dj Wallah. I will be featured on Piff On Wax mixtapes in the future as well. I was featured in True Magazine as well as the I got next artist of the month. I’ve done all types of shows and performances since I’ve been rapping. I’m currently a Junior at Kean University and I‘ve performed a numerous of times at our schools festivities. I’ve performed at a couple clubs and RatedR 2 was played in a couple sneaker stores in Elizabeth and in Newark. I gained a lot of fans and a buzz in North Jersey as well because of my performances. I recently had the pleasure to meet and rap for Cassidy who is one of my inspirations. He said, “I definitely have something special and what it takes.” As I rapped to him he was Ohh and Ahhing after every line I spit and he told me to come to his studio. I rapped for singer Jaheim and he said I definitely got it and he’s willing to work with me. I also met Maino and JoJo Simmons recently.



I would describe myself as the future of hip hop because I’m bringing in a new sound and something different plus I make songs that people can feel and relate to because my rhymes are a reflection of my life. My lyrics are pieced together perfect and the topics I chose to write about are heartfelt. Honestly, I believe my creativity and my versatility is what sets me apart from other artist because I put my all into my music. I definitely have the skills, looks and image. I can spit on any beat and I can change my flow and I proved that I can make songs. I have talent, personality and versatility and no one can take that from me. I was destined to do this rap thing so no matter what or how long it takes I will have my time to shine. So look out for me ….Redikalis…Straight Out Of Jersey.
