In early 2000, feeling as though they had musical talent and passion to

pursue their dreams, guitarist/vocalist Matt Boehm, bassist Kevin

Chapman, and drummer Scott Schneider laid the ground work for what

today is known as "Grey Haven", in a rural Texas town called

Hallettsville. GREY HAVEN’S music is definitely a reflection of their

influences from Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana, just

to name a few. With Matt Boehm’s smooth, soulful voice, Scott

Schneider’s intense-sounding drums and Kevin Chapman’s intricate

bass

lines, GREY HAVEN is a band you don’t want to miss out on. Their

music, which has formulated into an explosive brand of hard rock with

soulful lyrics, is reminiscent of the days when rock was truly an art

form and garnered the mass with its evocative and emotional meanings.

In the summer of 2003, the band, then known as “Alchemy”,

relocated to

Austin, Texas and played countless shows as a power trio, fine tuning

their music and amassing a loyal following. The band also decided to

change their name to “GREY HAVEN” to reflect their creative style

of

music. The median of darkness and light, a limbo of sorts, where the

line between dreams and reality merge to form one; this is where their

music resides and from this they draw their inspiration.

GREY HAVEN continued to take the stage and receive positive reviews

from their shows. They worked tirelessly in building a more

synergetic

hard rock sound and strengthen their stage presence. In 2004, the

band decided it was time to release an album. GREY HAVEN went into the

studio and recorded their self-titled ten-track debut album

independently released in March of that year. The album met phenomenal

reviews from fans, local radio stations and music TV stations,

solidifying GREY HAVEN’S spot among the top bands in the Austin, TX

hard rock scene. The album’s success led to GREY HAVEN’S summer

2005

Texas tour, introducing many new fans to the band’s unique style of

song writing.

In 2006, fueled by their accomplishments and success in Texas, GREY

HAVEN decided to take a big leap venturing to Los Angeles, CA to

further their career in the music industry. Since then, the band

has

been exploring their new home and have played throughout Hollywood in

legendary venues such as; The Joint, The Whisky, The Derby, The Key

Club, The Viper Room, The Dragonfly, The Knitting Factory and many other

clubs located throughout L.A., gaining both regional and international

notice. The band’s most popular songs are also being featured on

iradioLA. They have recently signed with Customer Concierge Rights

Engine (CCRE) of Tokyo, Japan.

GREY HAVEN is in the process of writing their sophomore album, which

will consist of various rock genres and will introduce a new feel for

hard rock music that will appeal to a wider audience. In the

meantime,

they have recently recorded a 3-track demo CD that includes songs that

convey a deep message about ambition, blindness, and respect in the

world we live in today.
