We have just signed a licensing deal with BLUELINE PRODUCTION LTD.

to distribute the CD in Europe. CD was released on November 21st to great reviews. We are quite excited about this project. We will be getting some of the European versions shipped to us and we will have them available on the site.

The Ribfest show with Styx was huge success. The band played really great and the audio recording came out sweet. We also recorded on video as well. Our friends Wes Dearth and Mark Prater from Redroom Recorders in Brandon provided excellent service to really capture the sound and energy from the show. Energy was provided from a very enthusiastic crowd. Our buddy Tony Esposito did the video shoot and that too was a blast to watch- Tony and his staff were great.

If you have ordered the CD from the site - please allow 7-10 days for delivery. Response has been awesome!

Come see a GBB party this week!!! Fireworks Magazine review below

The Greg Billings Band - Do-Overs Some fans may recall that Greg Billings used to front cult band STRANGER who recorded five CD's. Now Greg is a solo artist and 'Do-Overs' is his excellent new CD that features and impressive list of guests. The album features original songs as well as cover songs, and it all works and fits together perfectly. Yes an album where the cover songs are actually good!!! 'Get On Up' kicks off the CD and was written back in the early Stranger days. The track is very catchy and style wise leans towards vintage rock reminiscent of 38 Special, early Shooting Star, The Outlaws and even Status Quo. Very good song. Next up 'Wrong Side Of The Tracks' is from the Stranger sessions for the CD 'No Rules'. This is an excellent melodic rock song, lots of keys and earthy vintage feel with catchy chorus. 'Walkin' Shoes' is a track that was on Robin Zander's (Cheap Trick) solo album from the early 90's, an album which I love. Robin again sings on this track which was written by Robin and Mark Spiro. A good song, still stands up and if you have not heard Robin's solo CD then get it. 'Clear Blue Morning' is a ballad based around gentle melodic guitars. Again Greg vocally sounds superb and the whole song is very good, lovely melody to the chorus. 'I'll Shine' is another vintage classic rock song layered with Hammond keys and superb chorus and vocal melodies, almost like early Sammy Hagar material meets a little Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The cover version of Wilson Picket's 'Midnite Hour' features AC/DC front man Brian Johnson on vocals. Brian does his things and adds a gritty fuelled edge to this all time classic, and I was actually quite impressed with this version and Brian's vocals. The song also features Donald 'Duck' Dunn, yep the same guy from The Blues Brothers movie. 'Lightnin' In My Pocket' is an original number. An excellent song with fantastic vocals from Greg. The song has a strong Bad Company early Whitesnake feel complete with Hammond keys, very catchy song with fiery guitars built around a solid melodic blues edge. 'My World' again has that vintage rock feel. The song is based on a true story and is very melodic and I love the way it builds, vintage rock with tons of subtle playing and vocals, great lyrics. 'Rock And Roll' is a cover of the Led Zeppelin classic and features Rob Stoney on vocals. A fun version, and Rob does his thing without trying to obviously sound like Robert Plant. 'Closer To My Heart' was written about Greg's mum and is a vintage melodic track, almost baladic built around tons of feeling, good track. The last song 'Ockeechobee Whiskey' is a full on blues rocker. Greg sounds fabulous and the song has a slight funky edge to it and this track has that extra bite, good time rock 'n' roll. All in all a good mix of originals and covers, and somehow it works. Trouble is with this format of music is that that are tons of fans out there who are very picky about this style of rock music and are very hard to please, in doing so they miss out on cool albums like this one. It's a very good album that is worth investigating. Right I'm off to listen to my early Stranger albums, in the meantime check Greg out at www.gregbillingsband.com Nicky BaldrianFireworks Magazine
