ARTIST BACKGROUND
In 1993, Perrin L. Green made his television debut where he and R&B group Backstage Pass performed live and were named Musical Ambassadors for New Orleans by Mayor Marc H. Morial. The quintet was propelled into the public eye in 1994 performing at major city functions, benefits, festivals, and nite clubs. One of New Orleans hottest R&B performers Greezy has been featured with legendary New Orleans artists Tim Smooth, Bustdown and opened for major artists Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Teena Marie, and The Neville Brothers.
In 1997, Green became CEO of his music production company S.I.T.M. Music Shoppe LLC. producing and recording New Orleans jazz, samba, and musicians such as Michael Ray of Kool and The Gang. Greezy wheres alot of hats; recording engineer, songwriter, music production, singer, promotions and media, also visual artist.
Experimenting with various genres of music Green has signed many non-exclusive independent deals and worked with major producer Kim Fowley(www.kimfowley.com) and new hot producer Darius Deezle Harrison of Cash Money Records. Greens new original music is a taste of Hip-Hop/R&B, Jazz, and Soul. Inspired by classic Motown artists such as Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield -Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
