Dubbed to have the sass of both Jill Scott and Alanis Morissette (NOW Magazine), GreenTaRA brings a fresh brand of soul-funk-jazz-reggae fusion to the world stage. As soloist or fronting her band, she combines vocal charm and tight musicianship with solid songwriting and powerful messages for a guaranteed good time.
"Music For A Mixed Nation" is GreenTaRA's first Canadian release: a self-produced album filled with songs that captured the ears of listeners around the globe. Her sophmore album, "Global Baby" is undeniably the artist's best work yet, marking GreenTaRA as one of the Pacific Northwest's independent gems.
GreenTaRA and her bands have shared the bill with Spearhead's Michael Franti, Jully Black, Kelis, Medusa, and De La Soul, to name a few. She has performed at the United Nations in NYC, with nominations and performances at the Western Canadian Music Awards and other festivals in Canada, the US and Europe. Among them are Fete de la Musique in Berlin and the Vans Warped Tour, also having garnered "Best of the Fest" at the Austin Woman's Film, Music & Literary Festival.
