Our band formed in 1997 while we were attending the University of Wyoming in Laramie. For three years we performed in and around Laramie under the name Sweetwater, realizing that there were far too many bands in the world called Sweetwater. So, after enough of that silliness, we changed our name to The Greenstreet Majority at the stroke of midnight January 1, 2000. By the summer of 2002 we were touring around a large area known to many as "the big six" - Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, and Idaho. When we got tired of "the big six" we packed our van, hit the road and moved to Athens, Georgia in September 2002. We landed a weekly gig at a local club there and started touring around the South and sometimes still visited the Rocky Mountains to play some of our favorite venues. We don't usually like to brag, but during this time, we were the holders of the coveted title: "Entertainment of choice for Hang Gliding competitions in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida." After a year-and-a-half in Georgia we decided the Rocky Mountains were home and moved back to the Front Range. Green Street Majority continues to play around the region. They have been a part of "Taste of Colorado" and "Live in Minturn".

Recently Green Street Majority were part of the finals for the "Coors Light New Music Showdown". Also 99.5 The Mountains "Mountain Homegrown IV Zepplin Comp" with their version of "Immigrant Song".
