Born July 17, 1983 to Maria C. Jiron and Geremias Romero. As the first of four children, it was his duty to play the role-model. He did the best he could to keep his siblings out of harms way. He showed them right from wrong and was there to wipe their tears away, but he was always his own person and soon his family would see. He grew up with all kinds of music in his household. Everything from Folk music to Spanish country music. Falling in love with it all at a very young age. He started off by writing poetry in the 4th grade and worked his way up to other talents. He quickly realized what his dream in life was so by middle school he was fighting off the streets of New Jersey and putting music together. Shortly after one of these fights, he linked up with his Twin a.k.a. Irak b.k.a Parliament. Together they chose to start reaching for the stars while hoping not to fall like a shooting one. They tried to keep away from the cuffs but did what was needed to make sure the Camp was straight. After recording with G-Man Allah in early 2000 They were shown nothing but love from that day on. By high school Gambit had put together beats on Irak’s first demo and helped him put together the 1st Upcoming. Shortly after Irak’s demo caught some attention, he was locked away in the system but still Gambit choose not to give up, and promised to fulfill their dream. Gambit tried to head in the right direction by going to Philly and attending the Art Institute of Philadelphia. For two years 2 years he tried to stay focused on his academic work but there was too much money to be made so he ended up failing out. With his family looking down on him. He decided to focus back on the music so he started moving state to state, hood to hood, way before the DVD dropped. By 2005 he moved back to Jersey on his Twins release and worked their way to up the latter by booking their first show in Brooklyn, NY. After that, they put the music on hold to raise the funds for their projects. Gambit started playing the blocks doing things most people only dreamed about. Losing his twin once again to the system, he took a trip out to California to his parents where he tried to keep a low profile and choosing to do good. He wanted to help out his family and, at the same time, his mom helped him out to drop his first demo. The “2nd Upcoming.” He got to the point where he was ready to give up and by 2006, he made a move to the District of Columbia where he met up with super producer Gonnie-B who sparked Gambit’s fire back up. So with plenty of life stories to talk about Gambit went back to the lab to work on his second demo titled “Full Deck”. Working on his buzz Gambit would give out CDs , do house parties, and used social networking sites such as MySpace. Gambit and Gonnie got together to work on his first video for his hit single “Pop Shots” off of the Full Deck demo. By his 25th birthday, Gambit was signed to his first independent deal with his new family Rock Hard Records. In less then a year of getting signed, he finished his first full fledged album titled “Deuces Wild”, followed by a mix-tape that contains tracks that with him and artists in countries such as Greece and Canada that Gambit has worked with. You can find Gambit on the web or in the streets of D.C. or teaching the future about life
