…tel peut-être résumé en quelques mots l’univers fantastique et délirant des GREEDYGUTS. Le trio formé de Nat (basse), Sylvain (batterie) et Jé (chant / guitare) nous conte en effet de petites histoires au second degré collant parfaitement à leur punk rock puissant et speed où les mélodies imparables se fondent dans une rythmique bulldozer.
Depuis 1992 le groupe ne cesse de peaufiner son style tout en restant fidèle à la formule de base : simplicité, énergie, guitares et mélodies accrocheuses. Les GREEDYGUTS savent exactement ce qu’ils veulent depuis le début et progressent donc essentiellement dans l’efficacité de leurs compositions et dans la maîtrise de leur son et de leurs instruments.
En mai 2005, les GREEDY GUTS enregistrent 15 nouveaux titres explosifs avec Fred Norguet dont c’est la 3ème collaboration avec le groupe, au studio Pôle Nord, pour leur 5ème album. Malheureusement le label M10, qui les avait signés en 2003, cesse alors ses activités… Après de longs mois à la recherche d’un label, c’est finalement sur Kicking records (The Black Zombie Procession, Hellbats, Flying Donuts, The Joystix, Generic, Hateful Monday, Mother Superior, The Last Brigade.), en coproduction avec Slow Death (Dead Pop Club, Generic…), que sortira le 24 mars 2008 leur nouvel album SONGS & BULLETS !
Un album tombé du ciel pour KICKING RECORDS et SLOW DEATH. Tout y est : guitares énormes, chants mélodiques, choeurs planants, refrains envoûtants…. Un aller direct pour les plages australiennes ! Les GREEDY GUTS sont de retour et en grande forme ! Plus de surf, plus de pop. et toujours aussi puissant !!!
Après plus de 300 concerts en Europe, cinq albums et des plateaux avec les BUZZCOCKS, HARD-ONS, SNUFF, SATANIC SURFERS, DWARVES, NEW BOMB TURKS, LUNACHICKS, YOUTH BRIGADE, LES THUGS, BURNING HEADS, MILLENCOLIN … les GREEDY GUTS ont su s’imposer comme l’une des références du punk rock et de la scène indépendante française.
Inspirés par des groupes comme les Ramones, Buzzcocks, Dickies, Stupids, Hard-Ons, Meanies, Snuff ou Lagwagon… c’est sûrement le mélange de toutes leurs autres influences musicales, qui donne toute l’originalité à leurs morceaux : Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, Buddy Holly, Johnny Kid & The Pirates, Beach Boys, Fantastic Baggys, AC/DC, Motörhead, Nine Pound Hammer, Supersuckers, Fluf, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Helmet, Napalm Death… et tant d’autres encore !!!
Les GREEDY GUTS seront en tournée à partir du 20 mars 2008 dans toute la France, ne les ratez pas, ils jouent près de chez vous. Sinon, faîtes les jouer…

In a few words, this is the fantastic and raving world of the GREEDYGUTS. This three-piece combo featuring Nat (bass / backing vocals), Sylvain (drums) and Jé (vocals / guitar) tells us quirky stories that are the perfect match with their powerful and fast Punk Rock. Indeed their great melodies melt in a wall of guitars sprinkled with Caterpillar-like rythmics.
Born in 1992, the band went on refining its style whilst keeping to basics: simplicity, speed, heavy guitars, and catchy melodies. From day one, the GREEDYGUTS have known exactly what they wanted and stuck to it. They evolve essentially in the way of composing and the greater control over their instruments and sound. They’ve now reached indeniable maturity although by definition this word could not be further from their spirit. It shows best in their last recordings and obviously on stage.
They have recorded in 2005, 15 explosive new titles with Fred Norguet (third cooperation) at Pôle Nord Studio for their fifth album. It should confirm their return in great shape after the smash hit “Making the busines bigger”. More guitars, more surf & pop vocals and. always so powerful ! Unfortunately the label / distributor M10 which have signed them in 2003, stopped their activities… After long months in the search of a label, the new album SONGS & BULLETS will finally come out in march 2008 on Kicking records (Black Zombie Procession, HellBats, Flying Donuts, Joystix, Generic.) in coproduction with Slow Death (Dead Pop Club, Generic.). The band will start a tour in France at the same time…
