Grave Desecration

Grave Desecration was formed September 28th 2002

as a death metal three piece with Emilio Morales (Vocals/Bass), Frank Morales (Guitar/Vocals), And Everardo "HAMSTERGRIND" Morales (Drums). In the early years GD saw many challenges, what with the decreasing popularity of death metal in the Los Angeles area and the comings and goings of members, however, 2004 saw the additions of Ruben Ortega (Guitar) and Damian Fuentes (Bass). The two steady members proved to be a valuable asset to the band, and together Grave Desecration stormed every show and helped bring life to what was once considered a dying scene. With their unique technical riffs, intense drumming, and brutally unrelenting performance, GD quickly grabbed the attention of the SoCal metal scene, and won a vast and loyal fan base. In late 2005 Grave Desecration headed into the studio for the recording of the "Sadistic Mutilation" EP which was released May 2006. During that year GD saw success by playing an infinite amount of shows all across southern California, as well as New Mexico, opening up for acts such as: Origin, Malevolent Creation, Goatwhore, Exodus, Cryptopsy, Six Feet Under, Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth, Vile, Incantation, Cattle Decapitation, Retch, Phobia, and Internal Suffering. Grave Desecration was also interviewed by Metal Madness TV, a metal focused music video talk show featured exclusively on Time Warner Cable. They were also featured on several local radio and internet stations, and was reviewed by a several web zines. Due to musical differences Ruben and Damian parted ways with the band and Mike Cosio (now with Abysmal Dawn) was brought in for bass duties for awhile. After Mike left, GD underwent a few more line-up changes, and eventually went on a musical break in which they are now preparing new material for their upcoming self-produced full-length album which should be expecting a release sometime in early 2009. Grave Desecration looks forward to rest of 2008 with upcoming shows and new, heavier, more complex music to please the crowds and make a brutal comeback.
